Doing Good Together Night
On Thursday evening, March 4th, from 5-7 p.m., Foothills will host our "Doing Good Together Night." This parent involvement program is designed for students and one corresponding adult to set aside one evening to volunteer and give back to our community. In two weeks, students will be given an opportunity to sign up to assemble hygiene kits, snack totes, sack dinners, and no-sew blankets to help Maryville Housing Authority, Family Resource Center, Maryville Towers, & Emergency First Responders. All supplies for these community action projects with be purchased with our final, school-wide Community Action Campaign, "Holler for a Dollar." We will encourage students to donate dollar bills to fund this important event from February 8-19th. Each day, the dollars will be counted. For each increment of $50.00, a teacher's name will be drawn from a hat. That teacher will come down to the office and give a BIG FOOTHILLS HOLLER over the intercom and wear a raccoon hat for the remainder of the day. We look forward to this community action project and the fun event we have planned for you on March 4th.
